Husk Distillery

Inspired by the diverse and vibrant rum culture of the Caribbean islands and a yearning for fine Australian spirits, distiller Paul Messenger, along with his wife Mandy and daughters Harriet, Edwina & Claudia, embarked on a journey to create a plantation distillery on their cattle & cane farm, nestled in the green caldera surrounding Mt Warning in Northern NSW.

More than 500 fruits from all around the World are grown here on this 200 acre family farm, and every season brings exotic, unusual and delicious fruit varieties for you to discover. Red Earth Brewery

Red Earth Brewery is nestled in the picturesque Northern New South Wales hinterland. Venture off to UKI (our local village, 10 minutes from Midginbil) & enjoy the local shops.  There is a grocery store for any extras & a bottle shop at the Mt Warning Hotel.  There is a lovely Fair Trade shop in the old Bank building and some interesting shops in the Buttery.  There are 2 cafes to enjoy lunch – Lounge Lizard and Uki Café, or if it’s just a coffee you’re after, visit Bastion Lane coffee in the post shop, they roast their own beans & make delicious coffee. Or you could have a counter lunch at our local watering hole, Mt Warning Hotel,  grab a pie or quiche at UKI’s famous Pie shop, or something yummy from the Pure Love takeaway next to the supermarket.

The Nightcap National Park is a national park situated within the Nightcap Range in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. The 8,080-hectare park was created in April 1983 and is situated 35 kilometres north of Lismore.
