Our Very First Wedding Open Day

We are super excited we have our very first wedding open day on Sunday 22nd January 2023, 11am-3pm (NSW time)!

It’s going to be fun & fab, and we’ve got an amazing line up of vendors to show the venue, so you can experience what your wedding can look like. It’s an immersion into the chilled, celebratory vibe of weddings at Midginbil.

You can taste some delicious food, a refreshing bevvy & listen to some live tunes, set amongst the beautiful sub-tropical rainforest & perched below the heritage listed Night Cap National Park. You truly have to visit to experience the awesomeoness & hence why we decided to have an open day, to share our beautiful venue with all of you gorgeous peeps!

We have two venue tours at 11.30am & 1pm, of a 1hr duration (it’s going to be fast paced to finish in under 1hr!). These tours are currently fully booked, and everyone else is welcome to follow the self guided tour at a leisurely pace and build up an appetite & thirst to enjoy what’s on offer. And don’t stress if you missed out on the tour, book an alternate date with us for a private tour at a time that suits you.

You can chat to all our awesome vendors & they are offering exclusive promo’s if you book on the day, so you can save big time on your wedding.

I would also like to make a special mention of Renee from “Help Me Hitch”, she has helped me organise the open day and in fact, the open day was her idea! She said “Mel, I don’t think people realise how amazing Midginbil is, until they get out here, the pictures just don’t do it justice, I think you should have a wedding open day”, and here we are, 4 months later. Renee is a super organiser and I couldn’t have done this without her! So a HUGE, thank you to her! And, I would also like to do a shout out to Darbs (Kevin) from “Wattleseed Collective” (photographer & videography services) for jumping on board, throwing around ideas with Renee & I and he is going to create a short video showcasing Midginbil & all the vendors. So thankyou to both of you, you’re amazing!

Midginbil Furniture Hire – All hire items will be on display for you to see, hire is only available for Midginbil Weddings & not other venues

JR’s Smokehouse & BBQ – a real Southern American style BBQ

The Italian Job Catering – A variety of delicious food options – cold canapes & a big food platter for open day

Sugar Mobile Makeup & Hair – from 12pm, the delightful Terri, will be glamming up one of our lovely local neighbours, she’s in for a treat!

Bloom Jar – decorating with some stunning floral arrangements – Shell got married here not long ago & had the wedding of her dreams, we can’t wait to have her back with her floral talents

Silverbelle Events – Mobile Caravan Bar is serving up some refreshing & very tasty drinks

Flossy Byron Bay – fairy floss cart & serving Prosecco with Raspberry & rosewater floss on top!

Andrea Soler – musical artist playing 11am-1pm

Chloe Behrens – singer playing 1pm-3pm

BE Entertainment – Have some fun with their photobooth, make sure you get a snap to remember the day. Services also include DJ, Master of Ceremonies, special effects & photobooth Hire
